University of Novi Sad (UNS) is the second largest university in Serbia with around 5000 employees and 50000 students. The Faculty of Technical Sciences (FTN), University of Novi Sad, Serbia is a vibrant research and educational institution with around 550 researchers and long-lasting experience in international cooperation and international projects. With over 14000 students and 1200 employees, covering the area of over 35500 m2 divided into 9 buildings, the FTN/UNS ranks among the largest and most developed faculties in the region. The FTN/UNS possesses a high quality of human, material and organizational capacity, allowing hosting of new researchers. The faculty is the first to certify its quality management systems according to the international standards EN ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2009 and OHSAS 18001:2007. Since the 1970’s, the Faculty of Technical Sciences has curved out international reputations as a leading research organization in the Western Balkan region, producing some notable results in the field of electronics, sensors and robotics. With a compound income of more than 95 million EUR in 2017, and an average yearly growth of 25%, its more than 2500 workforce selected among the best former students of the FTN and other faculties of UNS contribute significantly to the economic perspective of the region. FTN/UNS has micro/nano electronic laboratories ~ 220 m2; Centre for electron microscopy ~ 50 m2 (SEM, AFM, Profilometer); Mechanical characterization of materials – Nanondenter G200; Science and Technological Park ~28000 m2; IP office; Business Support Office; Idea Lab; Media Centre; UNESCO Chair for entrepreneurship, etc.
